On Saturday, June 20, an event was held at a brand new public space in Ancoats called the Cutting Room Experiment. We asked you to come up with ideas for 12 individual, mass participation events across different themes that included Art and Design, Sport, Pop Music and Architecture, and then get everyone you know to vote for the ideas they would like to see become a reality.

The event was a massive success, drawing people to the square for a day of fun activities which began with a clothes swapping event, and closed with a silent disco as the light went down on the brightest day of the year. We'd like to thank everyone who came down and engaged with the events, or came up with an idea that spurred the public to get behind them.

Cutting Room Square is now officially open, and ready for you all to come and enjoy it. Thanks for getting involved.
